At A.B. Richards, we know you can find almost everything in portable storage containers. And this time of year that can include zombies, vampires, mummies, ghosts and all sorts of other creepy things. Happy Halloween! You might get a bit of a scare in October, but you’ll also have an awful lot of fun. And we’ve taken notice that in some areas the fun includes storage containers, just like the ones we rent. Some enterprising people have converted storage containers into haunted houses. A.B. Richards is a storage container rental company, so we can’t let you turn one of our portable storage units into 1313 Mockingbird Lane, but we want to show you some of the unique ways storage containers are used to celebrate Halloween.
A.B. Richards Offers Multi-Purpose Storage Containers
Even if you can’t use an A.B. Richards storage container to make a haunted house, these multi-purpose units have a wide variety of uses. We can offer 20ft storage containers for residential use. If you run an organization or business or need storage for a job site, you might need a larger storage container like our 40ft storage containers or our 40ft Jumbo storage containers with an extra foot of headroom. We’ll even let you store your Halloween candy.
Haunted House in Hotlanta
In Atlanta, storage containers were used to create a unique and scary attraction in a 25,000-square-foot area at an Atlanta area railroad station. Known as “Containment,” the entire attraction was made up of storage containers, which doubled as railroad cars. According to Atlanta Magazine, the company that created the gruesome scene and the attraction’s owner, Frightmares Inc., created a backstory in which a train had derailed leaving a trail of demonic objects at the station.
The promotional announcement alone was enough to send a shiver down your spine, according to Patch. It read:
“Pure Evil Cannot Be Contained – Unexplained incidents, disturbing behavior and mysterious disappearances…is there a link between these phenomena and the collection of demonic artifacts that remains quarantined below Atlantic Station? Come find out, if you dare!” In all, 26 shipping containers were used and dozens of actors.
The website Atlanta Haunt Review called Containment, “a fast-paced, adrenaline packed experience.”
The reviewers said that their favorite scene took place in a storage container that was comprised of living dolls. “It was as if this was pulled right out off the screen of a horror movie as these real life preteens create the most uncomfortable setting we’ve ever seen. With wide eyes open, staring at your every move while begging to play a game; these young ladies invade your personal space, creating ambiance straight out of a horror film.”
